Our project focuses on utilizing AI technology to create customizable 3D printable action figures with lifelike facial features. The project consists of the following milestones:
Training the GAN Model for Cartooning and Makeup Filter
We train a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) model to transform facial images into cartoon-like representations while incorporating various makeup filters. This process allows users to customize the appearance of their action figures, adding unique and personalized visual elements.
Generating 3D Face Images from 2D Generated Images
Using the generated cartoonized and filtered 2D facial images, we employ advanced techniques to convert them into 3D representations. This step involves mapping the 2D features onto a 3D model, creating a realistic and detailed facial structure.
Adding the Neck and Preparing the Image for 3D Printing
To complete the action figure, we integrate the 3D face image with a compatible neck component. The neck is precisely fitted to match the body holes of the action figure, ensuring seamless integration. The resulting 3D image is then prepared and optimized for 3D printing, ensuring high-quality and accurate reproduction of the customized facial features.
